Hello

I'm Genesis

Sustainable Development Student at Columbia University & Intern at Columbia's Climate School

About Me

I'm a senior at Columbia University, majoring in sustainable development and computer science. Born and molded in the vibrant pulse of Laredo, a border-town in south Texas, my Mexican-American roots infuse passion into my academic and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Drawn to the crossroads of technology and climate change, I'm eyeing careers in product management, software engineering, and sustainability consulting. My dedication to equity was shaped by programs that supported me as a first-generation student. In turn, I founded a mentorship program, aiming to foster a more inclusive and sustainable educational future.

Experience

Work experience is the best way to build skill sets that will be valuable in any industry. I enjoy seeking out diverse work experience to explore interests and passions of mine. All of my experiences have granted me an incredible network and worked as a catalyst for my personal development.
